Pilkku is a colourful, handwoven recycled cotton rug designed by Tytti Laitakari, which received an honourable mention at Finarte’s 40th anniversary design competition in 2025. Inspired by pointillism, its playful pompom-like surface is built from random loops that create a lively, three-dimensional texture – colours that blend and shift when viewed from a distance. Thanks to its textured surface, Pilkku feels exceptionally soft underfoot.
This version combines fresh green and light blue tones, finished with a neat light blue edge. Thanks to its rich, textured surface, Pilkku also works as an acoustic surface when mounted on a wall, absorbing sound while adding warmth and character to any space.
